Are there any RS ladies still using our RS blog? I thought it has been a great way to communicate.

Latter-day Stripling Warriors
I have a copy of the latter-day stripling warriors book if anyone would like to borrow it before Thursday's book nook at Sister Rosie's. The book is quite short and is a very quick and enjoyable read. Call Tiffany if you would like to read it! Hope to see you at Thursday night at the book nook!

Book Nook Information
Hi gals......
There has been some confusion about the book nook book title and where to purchase the book. The name of the book is What Latterday Stripling Warriors learn from their Mothers by Ardeth G. Kapp. You may purchase the book at the Rexburg Deseret Book. They have three copies and you may find them in the "parenting" section of the store. If they tell you the book is out of print, it is NOT. One of their computer screens shows it is no longer in print, but as they inquired further, they found the copies for me. Or, you may purchase the book at Deseretbook.com or Amazon.com or Barnesandnoble.com. Barnes and Noble has only used copies, but they start around three dollars.
We hope lots of sisters will read the book and join us for a great discussion. Book nook is scheduled for July 31st at Rosie's. We may change the date to later due to the delay in getting the book. Watch the blog for further details or call Tiffany Jenkins for details. Please read and join us........ or just join us!

What a fun night!
Adrienne is a grilling guru!
Thanks Adrienne for all of your preparation preparing for the grilling/marinade enrichment. Fun was had by all. The food was delectable. Watch for recipes to be posted. For those of you who missed out, plan to come next time. The next domestic kitchen will be held in September. Watch for upcoming details!

Vegetable Gardening
For all of you ladies that missed RaNae Foster's great demo on vegetable gardening, and those that have lost their notes, this is for YOU! These are notes I took so they might not be too organized but I'll try to make a method to my madness.
FERTILIZER
A plant with a lot of leaves is going to need a lot more Nitrogen than a plant with a few leaves. A plant that flowers will need more Phosphorous than a plant that is not producing flowers. So you can see that a bright green blade of grass is not going to need Phosphorous to make flowers or fruit.
If you are growing Vegetables -- Carrots, Tomatoes, Broccoli, maybe Basil or herbs -- you must separate these into the kind of plant you have. Chives and Basil are LEAVES, so a little Nitrogen is going to be great for them! BUT if you are thinking of using a bag of Scotts Lawn Fertilizer, make ABSOLUTELY SURE it does not have any weed killer mixed in. Because the weed killer will nix any chances of growing vegetables once you put it down.

Blog Progress
Since I now have three callings to occupy my time, I'll be making a few mega posts to catch all of you up on the past events, but will not be updating with posts as much. I'll still be behind the scenes on the rest of the blog but PLEASE anyone that has attended any enrichment activities or has a new recipe they'd like to share or whatever, post away. I think the blog would be so much better than just my bland posting vs. guest posts from some of the amazing women in our ward. If you'd like to post but have no idea how to log on and post, you could even email me your post and I'll put it on for you for the first couple of times. I hope this can survive, but don't want to shoot a dead horse if you know what I mean!
